HEAD COACH

Andrew joins PMHA with more than two decades of experience as both a professional player and coach, competing and leading at high levels across North America and Europe. Most recently, Andrew has been coaching in Germany, working with athletes from U9 through U17. His background as a player—defined by strong leadership, a physical presence on the ice, and an undeniable passion for the game—has shaped his evolution behind the bench. As a coach, he is committed to developing tactical awareness, technical skill, and a strong team identity, while placing a major emphasis on mentorship and individual growth. Andrew’s blend of professional experience, international coaching insight, and player‑first philosophy makes him an exceptional fit to lead PMHA’s newest high‑performance program into its first season and beyond.


GLEN-RYAN WALTERS

ASSISTANT COACH

Glen‑Ryan brings a diverse and well‑rounded hockey background to Pilot Mound Hockey Academy, shaped by experience as a high school teacher, Jr. A coach, official, scout, and even a stint behind the wheel of the Zamboni. Over the past three seasons, he has coached with the Amherst Ramblers in the MHL, contributing to player development at the junior level with a calm, attentive, and detail‑driven approach. A former player himself, Glen‑Ryan understands the game from every angle. He has operated his own hockey school, where he built a reputation as an inspiring and highly engaged skills coach with a strong emphasis on connecting with athletes and helping them grow both on and off the ice. Proudly from the small town of Brookfield, Nova Scotia, Glen‑Ryan is also known for a local claim to fame — many insist he’s the best skate sharpener in town, a testament to his craftsmanship and care for the finer details of the game.
